Can your food decide your mental health?

Doctor: Eat non-veg, it will give you protein, calcium, vitamins, and will keep you healthy. Chintu: Which health sir? Physical or mental? Before I tell you what did the doctor reply, let's first appreciate Chintu for his good question, smart kid, huh. Now let's try to see if we can arrive at an answer for this based on the logic of Evolution. Don't worry, I won't go into morality behind killing life and all. Let's go back in time, humans are evolving, still living in caves, and struggling for the basic needs of life. Problems like less number of likes on profile pictures are waiting for them in 2.5 lac years, future. Two herds are there, let's name them Rock and Water . People of Rock herd are primarily non-vegetarians relying on hunting for food, while the people of Water herd are vegetarians who depend on fruits for food. Each time people from Rock herd think of food, they will inevitably start thinking of elaborate plans to hunt and kill, their blood flo...

Mystery of Dreams

Dreams. Aren't they mysterious? We sleep for a few hours but the dream sometimes feels like happened for days. The scaling of time changes altogether in a dream as if a different clock is running in the realm of dreams. We see dreams for a few minutes when viewed from wake up world but in the dream, we experience them for hours.  We also know that when we face some scary situation our brain perceives time at a much slower rate. Falling from a roof feels like taking minutes even though it happened for seconds only. Now, what could be more terrifying than death itself? So maybe we see someone take only one minute to die but in his perception, it might be taking hours or even maybe months, years, who knows?  Now combine this with the slowing of time in dreams. So what if during death we get into another dream, which starting with birth followed by childhood, teenage, adulthood, old age, and death again, which lasts for another lifetime for us (even though from this world...

Can there be a civilisation that knows future?

In a short span of 315,000 years of our stay on this planet as humans, we have evolved to predict the future to some extent with some accuracy. For example, we can predict when the sun will rise, how far will that ball go if I throw it, when is the next eclipse, and many small daily life predictions. We may speculate that given few more years, we will gain more scientific knowledge and maybe then we will be able to predict the exact future to an infinite extent in time (although chaos and Quantum uncertainty will trouble us), still lets logically try to see without a lot of technicalities if that's possible.                   Say there is a civilization with people who can look into the future. Now two scenarios arise, first is, they know the future but they can't change it, and the second is they know the future and can change it.                 Let's t...
